WER ICH BIN

My name is Giacomo, Private Chef and passionate lover of authentic cuisine.
I was born on Lake Garda, to an Italian father and a Somali mother. It was my mother, Hoyo Zeinab (meaning „mother“ in Somali), who inspired my love for cooking. Watching her skillfully create dishes with love and care sparked my culinary journey.

Local & Bio

Each recipe is crafted using locally sourced, organic, and carefully selected ingredients. I also pair my dishes with a selection of organic wines from small family-run wineries, offering a complete and sustainable gastronomic experience.

My roots

My culinary creations bring together the best of my roots: Italian and Somali cuisine. Some of my favorite dishes include:
• Homemade fresh pasta, focaccia, skewers, and grilled specialties, all cooked strictly over charcoal;
• Injeera and samosas, iconic dishes of Somali cuisine;
• Grilled meats paired with seasonal vegetables;
• Traditional desserts, to end every meal with a sweet and authentic touch.

In short

The Beginnings

After completing my training at the Mantegna Culinary School in Brescia, I began my career working in various establishments in Milan, where I refined my techniques and learned the importance of quality and creativity in the kitchen

A New Horizon

A few years later, I decided to move to Zurich, a modern, welcoming and sustainable city, to immerse myself in a new culinary culture.

The Passion Continues

For over eight years, I have been working as a professional chef, gaining experience in prestigious restaurants and catering services, exploring and reinterpreting local gastronomic traditions.
